Kenneth Shinozuka grew up in a big happy family of three generations. 

 

Since he was little, he has always been very close to his grandfather. 

 

He was Kenneth’s first friend, his trusty driver, and his cook. 

 

He also taught him many life lessons. 

 

He was the person who Kenneth respected the most in the world. 

 

When Kenneth was four, his grandfather went out for a walk one day and got lost. 

 

He had Alzheimer’s disease. 

 

Everyone in Kenneth’s family was in shock. 

 

His condition became worse over the next 10 years. 

 

He wandered off at night so often that someone had to keep an eye on him all night long.

Kenneth also tried many different materials to make comfortable socks for his elderly grandfather. 

 

When he felt like giving up, he thought about his grandfather’s safety. 

 

After much trial and error, he finally succeeded in making his device. 

 

When it first worked, he was so happy that he jumped for joy. 

 

He could not believe that his invention actually worked. 

 

For his grandfather, Kenneth is the best inventor in the world. 

 

For Kenneth, his grandfather is still his best friend.
