A florist is someone who creates beautiful things with flowers. 

 

To become a florist, you need to know many things about flowers. 

 

I attended a high school for florists and gardeners. 

 

It was at this school that I learned how to grow and care for different types of flowers. 

 

These days, florists can do a lot of different things. 

 

I design movie sets sometimes and I decorate shops with flowers. 

 

I am happy when I create something colorful with fresh flowers and greenery. 

 

If you like plants and the arts, I highly recommend you become a florist.

 

 

 

Sport Data Analyst

 I am Emma.  

 

I am a sport data analyst. 

 

It sounds like a difficult job, doesn’t it? 

 

In fact, it is a lot of fun. 

 

I work for a baseball team.

 

My job is to watch recorded games and run a computer program to collect data. 

 

Then, I analyze the data to show my team’s strengths and weaknesses. 

 

If the team understands their strengths and weaknesses, they can do better next time. 

 

Since I was young, I have been a big fan of baseball. 

 

Now, in my work, I watch baseball games all the time. 

 

This is a perfect job for me because watching baseball games is my hobby!

 

Director of a Musical Theater

Hi, I am Chris.

 

 As a director of a musical theater, I do a lot of things. 

 

I audition the actors and I look for good, strong voices. 

 

After selecting the cast, I teach them the songs for each scene. 

 

Then, I put the cast and orchestra together for practice. 

 

During the performance, I am in the orchestra area and conduct.

 

 It’s my responsibility to have each song played the same way every time. 

 

I direct the musicians and the singers to keep the show together. 

 

Conducting and directing is not just about waving my arms around!

 

 

Ocean Scientist

My name is Yeji. I am an ocean scientist. 

 

Ocean science is a big field. 

 

It includes studies of the oceans and the creatures living in them.

 

 Among other things, I have studied many kinds of fish living in the seas near Korea. 

 

It is the growth ring in a fish that interests me.

 

 By looking at it, I can find out when and where the fish was born. 

 

All the information I get from fish is used to understand sea resources and manage the oceans better. 

 

My job is important because it makes the best use of nature possible.
