The Princess from India
A long time ago, the king of India had a dream.
In his dream, a god appeared and said,
“Your daughter will marry the king of Gaya, a kingdom in the Far East.
Send her to Gaya.”
The king believed the god’s words and said to his daughter,
“Go and marry the man of your destiny.”
The princess got on a boat with her servants and set off for Gaya.
However, the waves were high, and heavy rain poured down.
The boat came back.
The king placed a set of magical stones on the boat.
The ocean calmed down right away!
Far away in Gaya, people were worried about their king.
The king was at the age of marriage.
His servants said, “We will find a wife for you.”
“Do not worry,” the king said.
“My future wife will arrive soon.
Go to the shore, and wait for her.”
The servants went to the shore.
A young lady and her servants arrived on a boat.
The king was right!
The lady looked beautiful and graceful.
“I am a princess from India,” the lady said.
“Welcome, my queen,”
the king greeted the princess warmly.
“I am King Kim Suro.”
They fell in love at first sight.
The king and the princess soon got married.
They had ten sons and two daughters and lived happily ever after.
